Admission 2024-25
PAU Ludhiana conducts the Common Entrance Test (CET) and subsequent counselling for admissions to B.Sc (Hons.) courses, excluding B.Sc (Architecture/Fashion Designing). For the B.Sc in Architecture program, candidates must take the national-level Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT). Those interested in B.Sc in Fashion Designing must appear for the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) conducted by NID. Admission to B.Tech and Integrated M.Sc programs is based on CET scores, except for B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering, where a valid JEE Main score is required. For M.Tech, MBA, MCA (Regular+Lateral), MJMC, and M.Sc programs, PAU conducts the MET followed by an interview. Ph.D. admissions are based on the PAU Written Test and Interview, with ICAR qualified candidates being directly eligible for the interview.
PAU Ludhiana Admission Process 2024

PAU Ludhiana PG Admission 2024: M.Tech, MBA, MCA, M.Sc & MJMC
At the postgraduate level, PAU offers M.Tech, MBA, MCA, M.Sc, and MJMC in various disciplines. Besides regular courses, the university provides MCA (Lateral Entry) and Integrated M.Sc.
Admission is based on MET scores followed by an interview. For M.Tech in Remote Sensing and GIS, admission is based on an interview for shortlisted candidates. CET qualified candidates can apply for the Integrated M.Sc program.
Note: No entrance test is required for M.Tech in Remote Sensing & Geographic Information System. Candidates are called for counselling based on their marks in the last qualifying examination.
PAU Ludhiana Ph.D. Admission 2024
Admission to the Ph.D. program is based on a Written Test conducted by PAU and an Interview. The minimum eligibility is a Master's degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university. ICAR qualified candidates are directly eligible for admission to any Bachelor’s/Master’s or Ph.D. program and must provide their testimonials during the Interview/Counselling.
Selection Criteria:
- Entrance Exam Performance: 80% (60% MCQ + 20% Subjective)
- Master’s Research by Thesis & Quality of Thesis: 10%
- Interview: 10%

How to Apply?
Candidates should visit the university's official website and pay ` 5640/- for each Entrance Test, which includes the cost of the downloaded form/prospectus (` 610/- for additional options in MET-Agri & MET-Community Science). Applicants must have a valid unique E-mail ID for uploading each application form. While filling out the form, candidates must upload a clear, recent passport-sized colored photograph along with a scanned copy of their signature. Payment can be made via online mode (credit card/debit card/net banking) or Challan mode:
a) For online payments, candidates should click 'pay online' and make the payment. Send the transaction statement and the computer-generated printout of the signed application form to:

Infrastructure
Punjab Agricultural University has a large and well-maintained campus and offers a tranquil learning environment. The buildings are modern and equipped with the latest technology from the Punjab Agricultural University which facilitates teaching and teacher development. The classrooms, units, and laboratories of Punjab Agricultural University are spacious, comfortable, and designed to ensure the highest quality of education. The library is excellent too, with a huge range of books, online resources, and knowledgeable librarians.
Library
The Punjab Agricultural University Library, inaugurated in 1959 with a modest collection of 200 volumes, has evolved into a five-story structure covering 93,320 square feet. Centrally air-conditioned and surrounded by well-maintained lawns, the library accommodates 760 seats across five reading halls. Utilizing information technology, automation, and networking, the library serves as a hub for rich information dissemination, attracting students and faculty from across the country.
Hostel
Punjab Agricultural University provides separate hostel facilities for male and female students, each equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity. Residents have access to indoor games, newspapers, magazines, and other amenities at the Ludhiana hostels.
Sports and Game
The sports complex at Punjab Agricultural University offers extensive facilities for both indoor and outdoor games, including cycling, swimming, basketball, badminton, cricket, football, hockey, handball, kabaddi, volleyball, and lawn tennis.
Auditorium

Laboratories
Punjab Agricultural University is equipped with laboratories such as the Toxicology Laboratory, diagnostic laboratory, Electron Microscopy, and Nano-science Laboratory. These well-equipped laboratories facilitate teaching and research activities, providing students with practical exposure and experience.
Medical Facilities
The university's medical facilities are centered around a 20-bed hospital located on the main campus, established to cater to the healthcare needs of students, faculty, and their families. Services offered at the PAU Ludhiana medical facilities include an Outpatient Department (OPD), biochemistry, X-ray, and ambulance services.
Placement
•The university also has a training and placement cell. The employment situation is very good for Agricultural Engineers.
•Many of them are in prestigious positions after getting selected in various all-India-level competitive examinations. Some of the postgraduate students are also holding high professional positions in various foreign countries in big companies.
•New Holland Tractors, CLAAS India have established well-equipped training labs on Tractors & Combine Harvesters respectively for the budding agricultural engineers from PAU.
•Mahindra & Mahindra has also established a video conferencing facility for the benefit of students and for the betterment of the future of students.
Scholarships
The college provides the following scholarships to its students:
Dr. S.K. Vasal Scholarship: This scholarship grants Rs.1500/- per month to the M.Sc. student with the highest OCPA in Plant Breeding and Genetics.
Mrs. Jaswant Kaur Bindra w/o Dr. Onkar Singh Bindra Scholarship: This scholarship offers Rs. 3000/- per month and a contingency grant of Rs.5000/- per annum to the M.Sc. student with the highest rank in the admission list from the Entomology discipline.
