Admissions at THSTI is announced in June every year for Ph.D. students. The Ph.D. program is governed by JNU. Admission is based on merit for those students who have a master's degree in a relevant field and have qualified JRF examination. For those who have MBBS/MD/MDS from a recognised University and SRF fellowship has to write an entrance exam. Shortlisted candidates are then called for an interview round, on the basis of which students are admitted.
For Short-Term Training Program, admission is done directly.
