Admissions in B.Tech courses take place through national-level/state-level/institute-level engineering entrance examinations. The top five engineering entrance exams taken by a large number of students every year are:

·  JEE Main - Conducted by National Testing Agency, JEE Main is the entrance examination for B.Tech admissions to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. JEE Main consists of two documents papers - Paper 1 (BE/BTech) and Paper 2 (BArch/BPlan)

·   JEE Advanced - It is the national-level entrance examination for BTech admissions into IITs. Students must qualify for JEE Main to attempt JEE Advanced.

·    VITEEE - One of the most popular entrance examinations to private institutes, VITEEE offers admissions to the Bachelor of Technology courses offered by Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) and its various campuses.

·    MHT CET - Through MHT CET, students can apply for BTech admissions in the B.Tech institutes in Maharashtra state.

·  TS EAMCET - TS EAMCET offers admissions to students in the Telangana state institutes based on their scores in the entrance examination.

7) B.Tech Admission Process

All the B.Tech applicants need to follow a similar process for admission to any institute. Here are the different stages of entrance examinations to B.Tech:

Firstly, B.Tech applicants need to appear and qualify for any of the entrance exams for admission to an institute.

·   NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and several other private colleges, accept national-level engineering entrance exams such as JEE Main. JEE, Advanced is the entrance exam organized for admission to IITs.

·    Besides the above two exams, B Tech admissions are also done through state-level exams such as WBJEE, KEAM, AP EAMCET, TS EAMCET, MHT CET, etc.

·        All the engineering entrance exams are conducted every year in April, May and June.

·    After the result declaration of every exam, the concerned authorities have conducted counselling and a seat allotment process. During consultations, the students must choose the college and courses of their choice based on their ranks.

·        After seat allotment, every student needs to visit the allotted engineering college to complete the admission formalities.
